Women's Futsal World Tournament
The Women's Futsal World Tournament is an international women's futsal competition for national teams, organized by national associations and the World Futsal Association.[1] The first edition took place in 2010 in Spain and was won by Brazil. The tournament has known no other winner besides Brazil, after the country's victories in the first six editions.

Iran's Niloufar Ardalan notably defied a travel ban to take part in the 2015 tournament[2][3] after her husband did not approve of her leaving Iran.[4]
The tournament is endorsed by national associations such as the Japan Football Association,[5] Iranian Football Federation[2] and FEDEFUT.[6] FIFA runs the men's FIFA Futsal World Cup but not the Women's Futsal World Tournament. As of 2020, FIFA has never held a women's futsal world cup.[7][8]
