Athletics at the 1979 Pan American Games – Men's 100 metres

The men's 100 metres sprint competition of the athletics events at the 1979 Pan American Games took place on 7 and 8 July at the Estadio Sixto Escobar.[1][2] The defending Pan American Games champion was Silvio Leonard of Cuba.
