Ineos Oxford Institute for AMR Research

The Ineos Oxford Institute for AMR Research (IOI) is a planned research institute at the University of Oxford. It will focus on designing antimicrobials for animals and humans, conduct research on antimicrobial resistance, and raise awareness and promote responsible use of antibiotics. It was founded by a £100m donation, on of the largest ever given to a UK University, from Ineos in 2021.[3][4][5] It will be based at the Oxford Department of Chemistry and its Life & Mind building.[6][7]
