Synopsis

Mahesh and Pooja get married with all the pomp and tradition associated with Indian weddings.

Pooja, a nervous bride waits for her new husband to join her only to realise that all the vows of honesty, fidelity and togetherness they took were fake and meaningless.

Mahesh is in love with another girl and tells Pooja bluntly that he never wanted to marry her in the first place. He walks out on Pooja on their wedding night leaving behind a distraught and confused young girl trying to come to grips with this new reality.

Pooja refuses to return to her parents place and gets tremendous moral and emotional support from her brother-in-law Ravi. She wants to continue her studies, find a job and get her life back together again.

Ravi stands by her despite his mother's opposition and there is an attraction forming between him and Pooja. Where will this attraction lead them, and what does Pooja do when Mahesh suddenly arrives back into her life?

Kora Kagaz is that blank piece of paper upon which for centuries an Indian woman's destiny has been scripted by her parents, her husband and her family. Very rarely does she get an opportunity to rewrite it the way she wants it.

What does Pooja do? What choices does she make? Will she find fulfillment?
