  4. Converse's men's basketball and soccer teams will begin play in 2021–22. The men's nickname has yet to be chosen.
  5. Erskine's football team has yet to announce its conference affiliation.
  6. Francis Marion will move to Conference Carolinas beginning in the 2021-22 season.
  7. North Greenville's football team competes in the Gulf South Conference.
