Heat wave records in Finland

Extreme heat is defined in Finland as being at least 25.1 °C. The greatest number of days of extreme heat in Finland was recorded in Utti, Kouvola, with 48 days of extreme heat during the summer of 2010.[2][3]

In 2011, the most number of days with extreme heat was recorded in Lahti, with 36 such days. In 2012, which was a cool summer by Finnish standards, there were nine such days in Utti, and in 2013 25 such days were experienced in three locations, in Utti and Anjala, both in Kouvola, and in Kärkkä in Salo.
