List of tallest buildings in Davao City

Metro Davao is one of the three metropolitan areas in the Philippines having numerous skyscrapers outside Metro Manila. Through the years, many highrise buildings were sprouting in Davao City. Currently, Vivaldi Residences Davao is the tallest building in the city and in Mindanao. Most tall buildings being constructed are high-rise condominium complexes or hotels, and are primarily concentrated on the city proper, especially Poblacion district. Buildings rarely surpass 30 floors due to a height restriction imposed by the city to maximise preferred urban densities and to minimize utility usage. It also is partly caused by the flight path of Davao International Airport which crosses the main business districts of Davao. The city government may allow construction of a tower building that will serve as the city’s “tallest landmark postcard image” in Maa and Matina (zone 3) Bangkal (zone9), and City Hall Complex to Bucana area (zone 10) with a height higher than the premium height limitation. But it should not exceed what the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) has set as limitations such as 72 to 162 meters (about 21 to 49 stories) for zone 3; 162 meters for zone 9; and 145 meters (about 44 stories) for zone 10.
