List of tallest buildings in Ottawa–Gatineau

This is a list of the tallest buildings in Ottawa-Gatineau over 90 m (295 ft) tall. Despite Ottawa-Gatineau's size and role as Canada's capital region, its buildings are not particularly tall. Until 1965, buildings in downtown Ottawa were limited to 45.5 metres (149 ft) so that the Peace Tower, part of the Parliament Buildings, could dominate the skyline.[1] The National Capital Region has a complicated system of protected views that is governed by the National Capital Commission and adhered to by the City of Ottawa.[2] Protected view planes limit the height of buildings in certain areas of the downtown core of Ottawa to ensure clear sight of Parliament Hill.

The tallest building in Ottawa-Gatineau is the 45-storey, 143 m (469 ft) tall Claridge Icon, which is located in Little Italy.

The tallest development in Ottawa-Gatineau is the 65-storey Trinity Station 1, part of the 900 Albert development by Trinity Group. Upon its completion, Tower 1 will be 234 m (768 ft) tall and become the tallest building in Ottawa-Gatineau.[3][4]
