Salpingoophorectomy
In medicine, salpingoophorectomy is the removal of an ovary and its Fallopian tube.[1] The "salpingoophorectomy," is a correct and accepted spelling, but much less common than "salpingo-oophorectomy." This procedure is most frequently associated with prophylactic surgery in response to the discovery of a BRCA1 mutation.
