Composition

"She Bad" is a trap number.[3] Lyrically, the rapper boasts about her growing riches and multi-tasking.[4][5]

Critical reception

Variety's Jim Aswad, Rolling Stone's Rob Sheffield and Billboard's Carl Lamarre highlighted the line where Cardi B raps about having a threesome with Rihanna and Chrissy Teigen.[6] Aswad said "it's almost a given that the lyrics are whip-smart and hilarious," and Sheffield, "her raw humor might tempt people to sleep on her deeply schooled sensibility, but something that always sets Cardi apart is her eccentric sense of hip-hop history," while reviewing the track's parent album.[7][3] In Los Angeles Times, Mikael Wood deemed the track an "infectious blend of exuberance and practicality."[4] Pitchfork's Sheldon Pearce wrote, "[Cardi] finds the soft center of a complex idea and then presents it in the most direct way possible."[8] In The New York Times, Jon Caraminaca said that Cardi B "raps about sex with the assertiveness and raw detail of Lil' Kim or Too Short," on 'I Do' and 'She Bad'."[9]

Live performances

YG joined Cardi B on stage to perform "She Bad" during her set at the 2018 Coachella Music Festival.[10] The rapper performed "She Bad" and "Bickenhead" at the 36th AVN Awards on January 26, 2019.[11][12][13]
