Sunset Cove, Saskatchewan

Sunset Cove (2016 population: 18) is a resort village in the Canadian province of Saskatchewan within Census Division No. 6. It is on the shores of Last Mountain Lake in the Rural Municipality of McKillop No. 220.

In the 2016 Census of Population conducted by Statistics Canada, the Resort Village of Sunset Cove recorded a population of 18 living in 9 of its 50 total private dwellings, a -28% change from its 2011 population of 25. With a land area of 0.17 km2 (0.066 sq mi), it had a population density of 105.9/km2 (274.2/sq mi) in 2016.[4]

In the 2011 Census of Population, the Resort Village of Sunset Cove recorded a population of 25, a -3.8% change from its 2006 population of 26. With a land area of 0.17 km2 (0.066 sq mi), it had a population density of 147.1/km2 (380.9/sq mi) in 2011.[7]

Government

The Resort Village of Sunset Cove is governed by an elected municipal council and an appointed administrator.[3] The mayor is Tom Fulcher and its administrator is Barbara Griffin.[3]
