Taizhou Metro

Taizhou Metro (Chinese: 台州市域铁路; pinyin: Taichow Guǐdào Jiāotōng), also known as Taizhou Rail Transit, is a metro system in Taizhou, Zhejiang province, China. The system is operated by Taizhou Rail Transit Construction and Development Co., Ltd. In the near term (Phase I), two lines, S1 and S2, are planned; in the long term, lines S3 and S4 are planned. Th system will have a total length of 215 km once completed in 2025. The first phase of the plan was approved by the Development and Reform Commission of the People's Republic of China in December 2014,[1] and approved by the Zhejiang Provincial Development and Reform Commission in September 2016.[2] Construction of the S1 line started in November 2016.[3][4]
