Tindwari is one of five assembly constituencies in the Hamirpur (Uttar Pradesh Lok Sabha constituency). Since 2008, this assembly constituency is numbered 232 amongst 403 constituencies.
Currently this seat belongs to Bharatiya Janta Party candidate Brajesh Kumar Prajapati who won in last Assembly election of 2017 Uttar Pradesh Lagislative Elections defeating Bahujan Samaj Party candidate Jagdish Prasad Prajapati by a margin of 37,407 votes.[1]
