Bikapur is one of five assembly constituencies in the Faizabad (Lok Sabha constituency). Since 2008, this assembly constituency is numbered 274 amongst 403 constituencies.
As of march 2020, seat belongs to Bharatiya Janta Party candidate Shobha Singh Chauhan who won in last Assembly election of 2017 Uttar Pradesh Lagislative Elections defeating Samajwadi Party candidate Anand Sen by a margin of 26,652 votes.[1]
