Alpha-1,4-glucan-protein synthase (UDP-forming) (EC 2.4.1.112, UDP-glucose:protein glucosyltransferase, glycogen initiator synthase, UDPGlc:protein transglucosylase, UPTG, uridine diphosphoglucose protein transglucosylase I, proglycogen synthase, uridine diphosphoglucose-protein 4-alpha-glucosyltransferase, uridine diphosphoglucose-protein glucosyltransferase, UDP-glucose protein transglucosylase, UDP-glucose-protein glucosyltransferase, uridine diphosphate glucose-protein transglucosylase I) is an enzyme with systematic name UDP-glucose:protein 4-alpha-glucosyltransferase.[1][2][3] This enzyme catalyses the following chemical reaction
