Australians in Turkey

There are as many as 12,000 Australians in Turkey.[1] Of these, the overwhelming majority are in the capital Ankara (roughly 10,000) while the remaining are in Istanbul. Australian expatriates in Turkey form one of the largest overseas Australian groups in Europe and Asia. The vast majority of Australian nationals in Turkey are Turkish Australians.

The Anzac Day is Australia’s national day, the commemoration in Gallipoli is also to commemorate Anzac Day.[2]
