Caleb Harrison

Caleb Harrison was an American politician and Vice Presidential candidate in the 1916 United States presidential election as Arthur E. Reimer's running mate. He and Reimer were members of the Socialist Labor Party of America.[1] Caleb was born on September 20, 1879, in Reading, Berks, Pennsylvania to William Henry Harrison and Sarah Jane Focht. Caleb has been a Harrison family name for many generations. The Harrison family has a history in Berks, Pennsylvania that dates back to the 1600s.

Caleb married Mayme Jane Knappenberger (1885-1965)on January 6, 1906, in Berks, Pennsylvania. They had one child together: Robert Caleb Ford Harrison (1906-1989). Caleb gave lectures on socialist topics, like his opposition to militarism, in Moline, Illinois. Caleb died at the age of 58 on June 8, 1938, in Chicago, Illinois, and is buried there.
