Kangal
Kangal is a town and a district of Sivas Province in Turkey. The current mayor is Ahmet Kürşad Apaydın from the Great Unity Party (BBP).[3] As Kaymakam was appointed Erinç Demir.[4]

Kangal city center
Kangal district is a majority Turkish district with a significant Kurdish population. Moreover, the district is majority Sunni Islam with a large Alevi minority.[5]
