Mae Young Classic

The Mae Young Classic is a professional wrestling women’s tournament produced by WWE, an American-based promotion. The name of the event honors the late Mae Young, who is considered one of the pioneers of women's professional wrestling.

WWE announced that a women’s tournament would be taking place in the summer of 2017 at a press conference during WrestleMania 33 weekend. There would be a total of 32 wrestlers competing.[1]

In April 2018, a second tournament was announced.[2]

In August 2019, Triple H confirmed that the 2019 edition of the Mae Young Classic was currently planned.[3] In October 2019, WWE listed tickets for sale for November 2–3, however the posting was later removed.[4]
