Matthew Bruce Allan (born April 17, 2001) is an American professional baseball pitcher in the New York Mets organization.

Allan attended Seminole High School in Sanford, Florida. During his senior year, he threw a perfect game in which he struck out 17 batters.[1] He was named the 2019 Florida High School Player of the Year by Perfect Game.[2] Allan committed to play college baseball at the University of Florida.[3][4]

Allan was drafted by the New York Mets in the third round with the 89th overall selection in the 2019 MLB draft.[5] He was considered a top prospect for the draft, but fell due to his strong commitment to Florida.[6][7] He signed for $2.5 million, foregoing his commitment to Florida.[8][9][10] He made his professional debut with the Gulf Coast League Mets before being promoted to the Brooklyn Cyclones. Over 10 13 innings between both teams, he went 1-0 with a 2.61 ERA and 14 strikeouts.[11]

Tony Dibrell

Michael Anthony Dibrell (born November 8, 1995) is an American professional baseball pitcher in the New York Mets organization.

Dibrell attended Chattahoochee High School in Johns Creek, Georgia, where he played four years of varsity baseball.[12] Undrafted out of high school in the 2014 Major League Baseball draft, he enrolled at Kennesaw State University where he played college baseball.

In 2015, his freshman year at Kennesaw State, Dibrell pitched 16 innings, compiling a 5.06 ERA. After the season, he played in the New England Collegiate Baseball League for the Ocean State Waves.[13] As a sophomore at Kennesaw State in 2016, he made 14 appearances (seven starts) in which he went 1-4 with a 4.64 ERA, striking out 66 batters over 54 innings.[14][15] That summer, he played in the Cape Cod Baseball League with both the Chatham Anglers and Bourne Braves, earning All-Star honors.[16][17] In 2017, his junior year, he started 14 games and pitched to a 7-4 record with a 2.45 ERA and 103 strikeouts over 95 23 innings.[18] After the season, he was drafted by the New York Mets in the fourth round of the 2017 Major League Baseball draft.[19][20]

Dibrell signed with the Mets and made his professional debut with the Brooklyn Cyclones of the Class A Short Season New York–Penn League. Over 19 23 innings, he struck out 28 batters while pitching to a 5.03 ERA. In 2018, he pitched with the Columbia Fireflies of the Class A South Atlantic League where he went 7-6 with a 3.50 ERA in 23 starts, striking out 147 batters over 131 innings. Dibrell began the 2019 season with the St. Lucie Mets of the Class A-Advanced Florida State League, with whom he was named a FSL All-Star.[21] After pitching to an 8-4 record with a 2.39 ERA over 17 games (16 starts), he was promoted to the Binghamton Rumble Ponies of the Class AA Eastern League in July, with whom he finished the year. Over nine games (eight starts) with Binghamton, Dibrell went 0-8 with a 9.31 ERA.[22]

Oscar De La Cruz

Oscar Eduardo De La Cruz (born March 4, 1995) is a Dominican professional baseball pitcher in the New York Mets organization.

De La Cruz signed with the Chicago Cubs as an international free agent in October 2012. He made his professional debut with the Dominican Summer League Cubs in 2013 and pitched 2014 with them. In 2015, he played for the Eugene Emeralds.[23] After missing the first two months of the 2016 season due to injury, De La Cruz appeared in three games with the Arizona League Cubs and Euguene, before pitching for the South Bend Cubs,[24][25] where he posted a 3.25 ERA in six games. De La Cruz spent 2017 with the Myrtle Beach Pelicans, where he went 4-3 with a 3.34 ERA in 56.2 innings.[26] The Cubs added him to their 40-man roster after the season.[27]

MLB.com ranked De La Cruz as Chicago's third best prospect going into the 2018 season.[28]

On July 6, 2018, De La Cruz was suspended 80 games for testing positive for furosemide, which is a diuretic and masking agent.[29]

De La Cruz was reinstated from his suspension on May 3, 2019.[30] He was designated for assignment on July 31, 2019. He was released on May 20, 2020.

On November 4, 2020, De La Cruz signed a minor league deal with the New York Mets.

Drew Ferguson

Andrew Thomas Ferguson (born August 3, 1992) is an American professional baseball outfielder in the New York Mets organization.

Ferguson attended the Knoxville Catholic High School in Knoxville, Tennessee and played college baseball at Belmont University as a walk-on.[31] He was drafted by the Houston Astros in the 19th round of the 2015 Major League Baseball draft.[32]

Ferguson spent his first professional season with the Tri-City ValleyCats and Quad Cities River Bandits, compiling a combined .297 batting average with four home runs and 27 RBIs in 61 games. He played for the Lancaster JetHawks and Corpus Christi Hooks in 2016, slashing .315/.408/.542 with 17 home runs and 76 RBIs in 105 games, and he played with Corpus Christi (earning Texas League All-Star honors) and the Fresno Grizzlies in 2017 where he posted a combined .275 batting average with nine home runs and 41 RBIS in 113 games,[33] He spent the 2018 season with Fresno,[34] batting .305 with four home runs and 29 RBIs in 65 games.[35]

Ferguson was selected by the San Francisco Giants in the 2018 Rule 5 draft, and was returned to the Astros organization on March 22, 2019.[36] He spent 2019 with the Round Rock Express. Over 115 games, he slashed .281/.395/.440 with 11 home runs, 57 RBIs, and 27 stolen bases.

On December 10, 2020, Ferguson was selected by the New York Mets in the minor league phase of the Rule 5 Draft.

Ryley Gilliam

Ryley Carswell Gilliam (born August 11, 1996) is an American professional baseball pitcher in the New York Mets organization.

Gilliam attended Kennesaw Mountain High School in Kennesaw, Georgia, and played college baseball at Clemson University.[37][38] In 2017, he played for the United States collegiate national team,[39] and also briefly played collegiate summer baseball with the Hyannis Harbor Hawks of the Cape Cod Baseball League.[40]

Gilliam was drafted by the New York Mets in the fifth round of the 2018 Major League Baseball draft.[41] He made his professional debut with the Brooklyn Cyclones, going 0-1 with a 2.08 ERA in 17 relief appearances.[42] He started 2019 with the St. Lucie Mets and was promoted to the Binghamton Rumble Ponies in April before being promoted to the Syracuse Mets in June. Over 38 23 relief innings pitched between the three clubs, he compiled a 5-0 record with a 6.05 ERA, striking out 56 while walking 18. He was selected to play in the Arizona Fall League for the Scottsdale Scorpions following the 2019 season.[43]

John Thomas Ginn (born May 20, 1999) is an American baseball pitcher in the New York Mets organization.

Ginn graduated from Brandon High School in Brandon, Mississippi. In 2017, as a junior, he batted .482 with 16 home runs.[44] That summer, he pitched in the 2017 Under Armour All-America Baseball Game at Wrigley Field.[45] As a senior, he batted .419 with nine home runs and 27 RBIs along with pitching to a 5-1 record and 0.36 ERA[46] and was named the Mississippi Gatorade Baseball Player of the Year.[47] He signed to play college baseball at Mississippi State.[48]

The Los Angeles Dodgers selected Ginn with the 30th overall selection of the 2018 MLB draft.[49] On July 5, 2018, he announced that he was going to honor his commitment to Mississippi State and that he would not be signing with the Dodgers.[50][51] In 2019, his freshman year at Mississippi State, he went 8-4 with a 3.36 ERA over 16 starts, striking out 103 over eighty innings.[52] He was named the 2019 Southeastern Conference Freshman of the Year.[53] He underwent Tommy John surgery in March 2020.[54]

Ginn was selected 52nd overall by the New York Mets in the 2020 MLB draft.[55] He signed with the Mets on June 30, 2020 for a $2.9MM bonus.[56]

Desmond Lindsay

Desmond Alban Lindsay (born January 15, 1997) is an American baseball outfielder in the New York Mets organization.

Lindsay was drafted by the New York Mets in the second round of the 2015 Major League Baseball draft out of Out-of-Door Academy in Sarasota, Florida.[57] He was committed to attend the University of North Carolina but the Mets signed him away from his commitment, giving him a signing bonus of $1,142,700.[58]

After signing, he was assigned to the Gulf Coast League Mets, and after he batted .304 with one home run and six RBIs in 21 games, he was promoted to the Brooklyn Cyclones, where he finished the season batting .200 in 14 games. He began 2016 in the GCL, and after batting .364 in his first five games, was promoted back to Brooklyn, where he batted .297 with four home runs, 17 RBIs and an .868 OPS in 32 games. Lindsay spent 2017 with the Columbia Fireflies where he posted a .220 batting average with eight home runs and 30 RBIs[59] before undergoing ulnar nerve transposition surgery in late July, thus ending his season after 65 games.[60]

Lindsay spent 2018 with the St. Lucie Mets, batting .218 with three home runs and thirty RBIs in 84 games.[61] He returned to St. Lucie in 2019,[62] but played in only 15 games due to injury.

Ronny Mauricio

Ronny Mauricio (born April 4, 2001) is a Dominican professional baseball shortstop in the New York Mets organization.

Mauricio signed with the New York Mets as an international free agent in July 2017.[63] He spent his first professional season in 2018 with the Gulf Coast Mets and Kingsport Mets,[64] slashing .273/.304/.410 with three home runs and 35 RBIs over 57 games.[65] He spent 2019 with the Columbia Fireflies[66] with whom he was named a South Atlantic League All-Star.[67] Over 116 games, he batted .268/.307/.357 with four home runs and 37 RBIs.

Thomas Szapucki

Thomas Mathew Szapucki (born June 12, 1996) is an American professional baseball pitcher in the New York Mets organization.

Szapucki attended William T. Dwyer High School in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. He was drafted by the New York Mets in the fifth round of the 2015 Major League Baseball draft.[68] He made his professional debut that season with the Gulf Coast Mets. He started 2016 with the Kingsport Mets and was promoted to the Brooklyn Cyclones during the season.[69][70] Szapucki finished 2016 with a combined 4-3 record and 1.38 ERA in 52 total innings pitched between two teams. He spent 2017 with the Columbia Fireflies, posting a 1-2 record, 2.79 ERA, and a 1.17 WHIP over 29 innings[71] before undergoing Tommy John surgery in July, thus ending his season.[72]

MLB.com ranked Szapucki as New York's fifth ranked prospect going into the 2018 season.[73] He missed all of 2018 due to Tommy John. He returned to play in 2019 with Columbia before being promoted to the St. Lucie Mets in July, and to the Binghamton Rumble Ponies in August. Over 21 games (18 starts) between the three clubs, he went 1-3 with a 2.63 ERA, striking out 72 over 61 23 innings.

Szapucki was added to the Mets 40–man roster following the 2019 season.[74]

Josh Winckowski

Joshua Winckowski (born June 28, 1998) is an American professional baseball pitcher for the New York Mets organization of Major League Baseball (MLB).

Winckowski attended Estero High School in Estero, Florida. The Toronto Blue Jays selected him in the 15th round of the 2016 MLB draft.[75][76]

On January 27, 2021, Winckowski was traded to the New York Mets alongside Yennsy Díaz and Sean Reid-Foley in exchange for Steven Matz.[77]
