S. Perumal
Perumal then from Villani village near Usilampatti,Madurai was the commander-in-chief of the freedom fighters. He belongs to the Vannar community. Police in riot gear stormed a rally on Friday morning,removing hundreds of protesters by truck. People cried when they saw the mother and son being dragged away naked. Even then, his mother was not afraid and said, Jai to Mahatma Gandhi,Jai to Subhas Chandra Bose.[1][2]
