In the 2016 Census of Population conducted by Statistics Canada, the Summer Village of Silver Sands recorded a population of 160 living in 79 of its 165 total private dwellings, a change of 88.2% from its 2011 population of 85. With a land area of 2.41 km2 (0.93 sq mi), it had a population density of 66.4/km2 (171.9/sq mi) in 2016.[1]
The Summer Village of Silver Sands' 2012 municipal census counted a population of 154.[2]
In the 2011 Census, the Summer Village of Silver Sands had a population of 85 living in 42 of its 57 total dwellings, a change of -50.9% from its 2006 population of 173. With a land area of 2.35 km2 (0.91 sq mi), it had a population density of 36.2/km2 (93.7/sq mi) in 2011.[3]
Attractions
The main attraction of this summer village is the Silver Sands golf and country club.
