Bonacynodon

Bonacynodon is an extinct genus of small, predatory cynodonts from the Late Triassic of Brazil, belonging to the family Probainognathidae. It contains one species, Bonacynodon schultzi, which is known from two specimens recovered from the Dinodontosaurus Assemblage Zone of the Santa Maria Formation. The genus was named after the Argentine palaeontologist José Bonaparte.[1]
