Frederika Alexis Cull

Frederika Alexis Cull (born 5 October 1999) is an Indonesian-Australian beauty pageant titleholder who won the title of Puteri Indonesia 2019.[12] She represented Indonesia at the Miss Universe 2019 pageant, where she placed in the Top 10, Frederika became the seventh Indonesian, and the first representative of Jakarta SCR to be placed as a finalist in Miss Universe history.[13]

In this article, the surname is Cull (British-Australian surname patronymic surname), and her middle name is Alexis.

Early life and education

Cull was born in Gold Coast, Australia[14][15] to a British-born Australian father, Roy cull and an Indonesian mother, Yuliar Markonah Peers.[16][17][18] Frederika moved to Jakarta, Indonesia at the age of seven to pursue her study and modeling career, she started her acting career at age of 14.[18][19][20][21]

Puteri Indonesia 2019

Cull was crowned Puteri Indonesia 2019 at the finals held at the Jakarta Convention Center, on 8 March 2019 by the outgoing titleholder of Puteri Indonesia 2018 and Top 20 Miss Universe 2018, Sonia Fergina Citra of Bangka Belitung.[18][22] At her final question,[23] Cull was asked (in the original Indonesian): "Soon this year we will have an election, as millennials what does this mean for you? And how do you react?" She had the chance to answer the question in the native Indonesian for the understanding of most of the people in the venue, but opted to answer it in English instead:

As millennials we are forced to vote, because not only this is affect us for the next 5 years, but voting is our power and it is what we need to do,

Miss Universe 2019

Cull represented Indonesia at the 68th edition of the Miss Universe 2019 pageant on 8 December 2019 at the Tyler Perry Studios in Atlanta, Georgia, where she placed in the top 10. She is the first Indonesian representative to ever place in the top 10.[13] Cull became the seventh Indonesian and the first representative of Jakarta SCR to be placed as a semifinalist in Miss Universe history.[24]
