Gorasara is a village in Kamsaar in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh.[1]

Gorasara village was established by Zamindar Bhikham Khan Urf Feqan khan in 1655 AD who was Grandson of Sarkar Diwan kuttul khan zamindar jagirdar taluka saverai. Kuttul khan was great-grandson of Narhar khan founder of Dildarnagar Kamsar.

According to some old records and from people we get to know that one day a Mughal minister came to this place during Mughal emperor Shahjahan rule and when he saw the people of this place he saw that all the people living in the village have white skinn from that the village got its name Goresara means a village of white people later during British rule because of wrong pronunciation the name was changed to Goresara. As of 2011 census the main population of the village lived in an area of 87.5 acres with 637 house holds.[2]

In terms of Goresara the crop productivity is good village is good. The soil of the village is rich in minerals. The water level of the village is not more than 100 feet deep. The village is land extends till the banks of Karmansa river. As of 2011 census the total area of the village is 983.38 acres in which total population lives in area of 40 acres and Mango farms and other tree farms cover 162 acres of land and ponds cover 18 acres of land in the village rest 763.38 acres is the crop production area of the village. All kinds of crops which grow in Ghazipur and Buxar district are grown in the village.[3]

The Gorsarsa is very famous for its Sun Flower farming for more than 300 years. Sun flower is planted on a very Large scale in the village. Usually during summers Sun flowers are planted on more than 500 acres of land in the village and tons of flower are sendend to other cities, states and countries. Sun flower was basically use to make Sun flower oil in the village during later Mughal and Britsih era. Every year differnet kinds of breads of Sun flower are planted on a Large scale in the village. [4]

Infrastructure

As of 2011 the village had 4 mosques, 3 temples, 2 schools, 3 madrasa, 1 post office and many shops. Basheer khan mahila Mahavidyalaya is the nearest Degree college from Gorasara located at the distance of 5.8 km other area S.K.B.M degree college is located at the distance of 8.1 km, Maa khamakya degree college is located 13 km.
