It operates as train number 16311 from Shri Ganganagar Junction to Kochuveli and as train number 16312 in the reverse direction serving the states of Rajasthan, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Goa, Karnataka & Kerala.[1]

On 3 August 2018, this train was running as Bikaner Kochuveli Express after being extended to Shri Ganganagar Junction. It is running now as Shri Ganganagar Junction Kochuveli Express.[2]

Traction

As the route is undergoing electrification, Ernakulam-based twin WDM-3A diesel locomotives pulls the train from Shri Ganganagar Junction to Shoranur Junction, and an Erode based WAP-4 electric locomotive pulls the train to its destination.
