List of offshore wind farms in the United Kingdom

This is a list of offshore wind farms within the national maritime boundaries of the United Kingdom. The name of the wind farm is the name used by the energy company when referring to the farm; it is usually related to the name of the nearest town on shore.[1][2][3]

Four offshore wind farms are in the Thames Estuary area: Kentish Flats, Gunfleet Sands, Thanet and London Array. The last was the largest in the world from April 2013 to September 2018.

In February 2020 there was 8,113 MW in offshore wind capacity in the UK, with a further 10,579 MW under construction or proposed to be built by 2025.

Operational offshore wind farms

In February 2020, there were wind farms consisting of 2180 turbines with a combined capacity of 8113 megawatts.
