Miss International 2021

Miss International 2021 will be the 60th anniversary of the Miss International pageant. Sireethorn Leearamwat of Thailand will crown her successor at the end of the event. This will be the second time the pageant has been cancelled since 1966, because of the COVID-19 pandemic, the quarantine event will start in October 2021.[1][2]

Background

The Miss International organization originally announced that the 2020 pageant would be held on October 21, 2020 in Tokyo Dome City Hall, Bunkyo, Tokyo, Japan,[3] while the contestants will spend some days in Yokohama.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the annual 2020 competition was cancelled, making the second time in the pageant's history has ever cancelled, the first was in 1966 when Long Beach, United States had decided to discontinue the pageant permanently.
