Shadow Butte

Shadow Butte is a mountain butte, located in the southwestern region of the U.S. state of Idaho.

Often misnamed "Squaw Butte," Shadow Butte, located northwest of Sweet, is a notable landmark in the area. However, the original name was Squaw Butte until it was changed to Shadow Butte over controversy of the name around 2001.

Shadow Butte is also the source of the name for Shadow Butte Elementary School in Emmett, Idaho.
