Roghun
Roghun (Tajik: Роғун; Persian: راغون) is a city in Tajikistan. The city was the seat of the former Roghun District, and is part of the Districts of Republican Subordination. Its population is estimated at 14,900 for the city proper and 44,100 for the city with the outlying communities (2020).[2]

Subdivisions
Before ca. 2018, Roghun was the seat of Roghun District, which covered the rural part of the present city of Roghun.[3] The city of Roghun covers Roghun proper, the town Obigarm and two jamoats.[4] These are as follows:[5]

Climate
Roghun has a Warm Summer Continental Climate (Köppen: Dsb) and experiences wet and cold winters with dry cool summers. The average annual temperature is 9 °C (48.2 °F). The warmest month is August with an average temperature of 29.7 °C (85.5 °F) and the coolest month is January with an average temperature of -5.5 °C (22.1 °F). The average annual precipitation is 877.6mm (34.6") and has an average of 84.5 days with precipitation. The wettest month is March with an average of 152.1mm (6") of precipitation and the driest month is August with an average of 3.9mm (0.2") of precipitation.[1]
