History

Established in Ravenna, Italy in 1925 by founder Marino Rosetti, the activity of the company began supporting the local port and industrial area with carpentry works and small tanks fabrication.

1940s – 1950s

After World War II, Rosetti Marino took part in the reconstruction of the coastal deposits in the port of Ravenna where ship traffic was intensifying. Rosetti therefore decided to include ship repairs and refit to the activities of the company. In the period between 1947 and 1958 carried out more than thirty conversions, from coal to heavy oil fuel, of the Liberty ship steam ships of the Second World War. In the 1950s, it also built various plants for the agro-food industry of Ferruzzi and for the petrochemical plant Enichem near Ravenna.

1960s

The first offshore natural gas field in Europe is discovered near the Ravenna coast in the Adriatic Sea.[2] A pioneering phase of research and production of hydrocarbons in which Rosetti Marino participates fabricating structures (jackets, decks) for offshore Fixed Platform. The customers are Eni, Agip and Montedison (now Edison).

Rosetti Marino build platforms for the extraction and treatment of natural gas in the Adriatic Sea, in Italian and Croatian shelves of the Adriatic sea. The first projects are mono disciplinary (construction of single structures) and progressively becoming multidisciplinary (from design to construction of multiple structures and fitted with piping, electrical and automation systems). The management of Rosetti Marino decides to reorganize its internal structure to have its own engineering and design skills and capabilities.
