The Queen (British TV serial)

The Queen is a 2009 British drama-documentary showing Queen Elizabeth II at different points during her life. Broadcast on Channel 4 over five consecutive nights from 29 November 2009, the Queen is portrayed by a different actress in each episode. The series was co-funded by the American Broadcasting Company,[1] the network which aired the series in the US.[2]

This marked the first of two times Emilia Fox and Katie McGrath portrayed sisters: they would go on to appear as Morgause and Morgana in BBC One's Merlin.

Production

The series was shot in Southern England. Locations used in the filming included Stourhead House, Longleat, Neston Park, Grittleton House, Knebworth House and the Orchardleigh Estate.[3]
