Fengtai railway station

Fengtai railway station (Chinese: 丰台站; pinyin: Fēngtái zhàn) is a railway station located in the Fengtai District of Beijing. The station has been closed since June 2010[1] in preparation for the construction of the new Fengtai railway station, which is expected to have a similar scale to Beijing South railway station.[2]

The new railway station will be served by both high-speed railway and conventional speed railway[3][2] and will be the largest railway station in Asia.[4] It is also likely to serve as one of the terminal stations of the Beijing–Guangzhou–Shenzhen–Hong Kong HSR.[5]

History

The construction officially started in mid 2018 and the new railway station was expected to open in 2020 for conventional speed railway,[3] and in 2021 for high-speed railway.[3] However, it is now expected to be ready by the end of 2021.[6]

Beijing Subway

Fengtai railway station is served by Line 10 of the Beijing Subway.[7][8] The subway station opened on 5 May 2013.[9] It will also connect with Line 16 in the future.[10]

The station has an underground island platform.

There are 3 exits, lettered C1, C2, and D. Exit C1 is accessible.
