Lego Trolls World Tour is a Lego theme based on the same name of the film,[lower-alpha 1] licensed from DreamWorks Animation.[1][2] The theme was first introduced in 2020.

Premise

The main focus of the line is Poppy and Branch who discover that there are several more troll tribes which represent music genres to their own. Troubles arise when the Queen of the Rock tribe plans to overthrow the foreign music genres to unite the trolls under rock music. Poppy and Branch set out on a mission to unite the trolls and save the diverse melodies from extinction.

Characters

  • Poppy: The sweet and optimistic Queen of the Pop Trolls and Branch's love interest.
  • Barb: The feisty Queen of the Hard Rock Trolls.
  • Biggie: A large, friendly Pop Troll and one of Poppy's friends who accompanies Poppy and Branch on their journey.
  • Branch: An over-cautious, but good-hearted survivalist Pop Troll and Poppy's best friend, later boyfriend.
  • Cloud Guy: An anthropomorphic cloud that serves as the narrator of the opening prologue.
  • Cooper: A Funk Troll and one of Poppy's friends who was snatched away from his family as an egg and raised by the Pop Trolls.
  • Guy Diamond: A glittery, naked Pop Troll with a highly auto-tuned voice and one of Poppy's friends.
  • Hickory: one of the Yodelers disguised as a Country Troll and one of the many bounty hunters hired by Barb.
  • Tiny Diamond: A glittery Hip-Hop Troll and Guy Diamond's rapping newborn son.
  • Mr. Dinkles: Biggie's pet worm.

In 2020, The LEGO Group created a partnership with DreamWorks Animation.[3][4][5] It was officially announced by The LEGO Group that seven sets based on the Trolls World Tour would be released on 3 January 2020.[6][7][8][9] The seven sets[10][11][12][13] being released were Techno Reef Dance Party (set number: 41250),[14][15] Poppy's Pod (set number: 41251),[14][15] Poppy's Air Balloon Adventure (set number: 41252),[14][15] Lonesome Flats Raft Adventure (set number: 41253),[14][15][lower-alpha 2] Volcano Rock City Concert (set number: 41254),[14][15] Pop Village Celebration (set number: 41255)[14][15] and Rainbow Caterbus (set number: 41256).[14][15] Later, Vibe City Concert (set number: 41258)[16][17] was released on 24 August 2020. In addition, Poppy's Carriage (set number: 30555) polybag set was released as a promotion. These included two key chains attached to the minifigures of Poppy and Branch. Each of the sets featured 12 core characters named Poppy, Barb, Biggie, Branch, Cloud Guy, Cooper, Guy Diamond, Funk Troll (Female), Hickory, Tiny Diamond, Mr. Dinkles and Hickory.[18]

On 9 November 2020, Just Sing is an official music video released on YouTube that inspired by Lego toyline. Performed by Justin Timberlake, Anna Kendrick, Kelly Clarkson, Mary J. Blige, Anderson Paak and Kenan Thompson.[19][20]
