Wiay, Inner Hebrides
Wiay (Gaelic: Bhuia or Fuidheigh) is an uninhabited island in Loch Bracadale, off the cost of the Isle of Skye in the Inner Hebrides of Scotland. Wiay is approx. 0.8 miles wide by 1.3 miles long.

Wiay lies 0.8 miles west of Ullinish & 1.5 miles north of Fiskavaig on the Minginish Peninsula. It is the largest island in Loch Bracadale, with an area of 148 hectares (5⁄8 sq mi). Most of the coastline consists of vertical cliffs up to 60m high and the southern bluff is a striking overhanging cliff.[5] There are also several sea caves along the vertical cliff coast line.
The island has been uninhabited since the late 19th century.
The 1861 Census shows one family living in one house with 3 males and 3 females present, none of whom were children from 5-16. The 1871 Census shows 3 males and 2 females and the 1881 Census 3 males & 1 female, all of whom spoke Scottish Gaelic. The 1891 census shows Wiay to be uninhabited
