1978 United States Senate election in Wyoming
The 1978 United States Senate election in Wyoming was held on November 7, 1978. Incumbent Republican U.S. Senator Clifford Hansen did not run for a third term in office. He was succeeded by former State Representative Alan K. Simpson, whose father Senator Milward Simpson served in the seat prior to Hansen.
