Saraighat Express
The 12345 /12346 Saraighat SuperFast Express is a daily superfast train which runs between Howrah, Kolkata (West Bengal) and Guwahati (Assam), via NJP Junction in Siliguri, North Bengal.

History
The train is named after the Battle of Saraighat fought between Mughals and Ahom rulers of Assam (Ahom Kingdom) in which Mughals were defeated by the Ahoms under the leadership of Mahavir Lachit Borphukan. The train belongs to Eastern Railway's zone of Indian Railway, headquartered at Howrah.

- 12346 - leaves Guwahati daily at 12:20 pm IST and reaches Howrah Junction the next morning 5:20 am IST.
- 12345 - leaves Howrah Junction daily at 3:50 pm IST and reaches Guwahati the next morning 10:05 am IST

Locomotive
The train is usually hauled by WAP-7, WDP-4, WDP-4B and WDP-4D from Siliguri locomotive shed. Occasionally it gets WDP-4D locomotive of Howrah shed. Post lockdown from 5th October 2020 Saraighat Express restored as 02345/46 GHY-HWH COVID SPECIAL which is hauled by SGUJ based WDP series diesel loco from Guwahati to NJP. From NJP to HWH it is now hauled by HWH based WAP-7 electric locos & vice-versa.
