Elske van Dam

Elske van Dam (born: 1936 or January 1937) was a Dutch kortebaan speed skater in the 1950s from Hoornsterzwaag.

Van Dam became Frisian youth champion. [1] In February 1953 she was faster than the champion of Drenthe: Jantje Tienkamp in Haulerwijk.[2] She won of Jantje Bosscha in Blesdijke in January 1954. In Noordlaren, Groningen, she won on 1 February 1954.[1][3] In 1954 and 1955 she became champion in Heerenveen.[4] In February 1955 she won a competition in Rottevalle with 1500 spectators.[5] In March she won in Wilp.[6] In February 1959 she won the first prize of 100 Dutch Guilder in Surhuisterveen.[7] In January 1956 she won in Gieten.[8][9]
