Population censuses have been carried out in Saint-Victor-de-Morestel since 1793. According to the census from 1999 to 2008, the population increased from 850 to 1,132 inhabitants, an increase of more than 33%. On 1 January 2015, there were 1,127 inhabitants living on a total area of thirteen square kilometers with a density of 87 inhabitants per square kilometer.[2]

History

Until 1789 the commune was a parish of Morestel.[3]
