2022 Arizona gubernatorial election

The 2022 Arizona gubernatorial election will take place on November 8, 2022, to elect the next Governor of Arizona. Incumbent Republican Governor Doug Ducey, is not eligible to run for a third consecutive term. Arizona is one of twenty-seven states that prohibits its governors from serving more than two consecutive terms.

The William Pounds gubernatorial campaign is unique in that it seeks to establish a new political party, the Independent-Green Party of Arizona, using the campaign's political contributions to hire ballot access petitioners to circulate petitions for both the purposes of the party's recognition by the state and the campaign's presence on Arizona's 2022 ballot.
