2022 Iowa gubernatorial election
The 2022 Iowa gubernatorial election will take place on November 8, 2022, to elect the Governor of Iowa. Republican Governor Kim Reynolds will be eligible to seek a second full term but has not yet indicated if she will do so. Reynolds was elected as lieutenant governor in 2014, but became governor on May 24, 2017, after incumbent Governor Terry Branstad resigned to take office as the U.S. Ambassador to China. She was elected in her own right in 2018.
