2022 Georgia gubernatorial election

The 2022 Georgia gubernatorial election will take place on November 8, 2022, to elect the governor of Georgia. Incumbent Republican governor Brian Kemp is eligible to seek a second term in office, and has announced that he will run for re-election. There is speculation he may face a primary challenger after facing criticism from Donald Trump for refusing to overturn the election.
