As of 2001 India census, Sivapuram had a population of 15343 with 7373 males and 7970 females.[1]

Sivapuram is mainly divide into thazhe sivapuram and meethal sivapuram (padupara). Thazhe sivapuram is one of the old town in Kerala but padupara is famous for tourism and pilgrimage places because MICROME HILL VIEW POINT and MEETHAL JUMA MUSJID is situated. Trains are available to almost all parts of India subject to advance booking over the internet. There are airports at Mattanur, Mangalore and Calicut. All of them are international airports but direct flights are available only to Middle Eastern countries.
