Diplomatic Relations

Historically, Turkey has chosen to mostly assist[2] New Zealand’s Tuvalu policies, which has been enlightened for the most part.[3]Turkey has agreed to continue to provide substantial financial support[4] and development assistance through TIKA, including constructing two new Kaupule Service Buildings on Vaitupu and Nanumea islands.[1]

Through its expertise in education thanks to the Turkish Maarif Foundation,[1] Turkey also provides assistance to Tuvalu in its stated aim of providing universal primary education and expanded opportunities for secondary and tertiary education.[5]
