NBA G League
- This BayHawks team is an expansion franchise that replaces a previous BayHawks team that relocated to College Park, Georgia, after the 2018–19 season to play as the College Park Skyhawks. The current BayHawks play in Erie through at least the 2021–22 season, after which they will relocate to their intended permanent home of Birmingham, Alabama.
- Relocating to Detroit after the 2020–21 season, where the team will play as the Motor City Cruise.
Women's National Basketball Association
Arenas listed are those planned to be used in the league's next season in 2021. Due to COVID-19, these venues should be considered tentative. The 2020 season was played entirely at the IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida with no fans present.
- Due to a major renovation of Bankers Life Fieldhouse, the Fever originally planned to play their entire home schedule in 2020 and 2021, as well as at least part of their 2022 home schedule, at Butler University's Hinkle Fieldhouse, also in Indianapolis. The team plans to return to Bankers Life Fieldhouse upon project completion.[1]
- The Mercury intended to play the 2020 season at Arizona Veterans Memorial Coliseum, also in Phoenix, due to renovations at Phoenix Suns Arena. The renovations are expected to be complete before the next WNBA season.[2]
- Became the Storm's temporary home in 2019 due to the closure of KeyArena (since renamed Climate Pledge Arena), also in Seattle, for major renovations. The Storm also plays home games at Angel of the Winds Arena in Everett, Washington. Climate Pledge Arena is expected to reopen in 2021, but not until after the WNBA season, meaning that the Storm will likely not return there until 2022.

- Expected to open for the 2021 season. Not to be confused with the former Weidner Field, now known as Switchbacks Training Stadium, which served as the team's home from 2015 to 2020. The "Weidner Field" name was transferred from the old stadium to the new venue shortly after the 2020 season.
- Sacramento Republic FC will cease USL operations at the end of the 2022 season. The club name will transfer to a Major League Soccer team that will start play in 2023.
