The palace ( chirebandi wada) of Sardar Shamrao ligade exist here at north side of Akola village. Buruj & main entrance (main darwaja) is very attractive. The fortification of this palace(chirebandi wada) still exist on north side along the bank of river man.

The college in Akola is Named in the memory of this king(zamindaar). That is Late. Saradar Shamrao Ligade vidyalaya & jr college of science(Agree) Akola.sardar shamrao ligade was brave and intelligent king. he had a fond of horse. shamrao ligade belong to the royal family of ligades, known as sarkar, during that era shamrao ligade helped many poor peoples not only from maharashtra but also in karnataka and gujarat. half of this royal family moved to ligadewadi near ajnale.and remaining in akola

▪By Rail

Wasud Rail Way Station is situated on the railway line of Miraj-Kurduvadi. One can take any passenger train from Miraj junction to Kurduvadi Junction, or if you are at Kurduvadi Junction then take any passenger train towards Miraj. This train goes to Wasud Railway Station. From the station, the village is at 10 minutes walking distance. If taking the express from either Kurduvadi or Miraj (Express trains did not take stop at Wasud.) it will reach Sangole (taluka place 6 km from Akola village) from Sangole there are MSRTC buses towards Akola village.

Sangole is nearby towns to Akola having road connectivity to Akola. From Sangola one can take a bus from Sangola Bus Stop towards Akola.

From Sangola by Bus 2nd stop is Akola(w)

There are private travelers also available in Sangola which will take you to Akola village (Private travelers are available at the gate of New English School Sangola, on the back side of the bus stop)
