List of Latin American and Caribbean countries by GDP (PPP)

This is a list of Latin American and Caribbean countries by gross domestic product at purchasing power parity in international dollars according to the International Monetary Fund's estimates in the October 2018 World Economic Outlook database.

Latin American countries by GDP per capita PPP (2019).

The Latin American countries Brazil, Mexico, and Argentina accounted for over two-thirds of the region's total gross domestic product (GDP) at purchasing power parity (PPP) in 2019, while Caribbean and North Atlantic nations represented just over 1% of the region's total GDP (PPP).

Cuba is not included in the list due to lack of economic data. Puerto Rico is an unincorporated territory of the United States, but the World Economic Outlook maintains statistical data for both economies on a separate and independent basis.

Notes

  1. If its statistical data were maintained together with that of the other Latin American and Caribbean countries, Puerto Rico would hold rank #11 in the 2019 table above, displacing countries ranking 11 through 32 to positions 12 through 33. Likewise, Puerto Rico's GPD per capita ($41,198) would the highest among Latin American and Caribbean countries
