Rural Municipality of Wise Creek No. 77

The Rural Municipality of Wise Creek No. 77 (2016 population: 205) is a rural municipality (RM) in the Canadian province of Saskatchewan within Census Division No. 4 and SARM Division No. 3. It is located in the southwest portion of the province near Admiral.

In the 2016 Census of Population conducted by Statistics Canada, the RM of Wise Creek No. 77 recorded a population of 205 living in 85 of its 97 total private dwellings, a 30.6% change from its 2011 population of 157. With a land area of 845.81 km2 (326.57 sq mi), it had a population density of 0.2/km2 (0.6/sq mi) in 2016.[4]

In the 2011 Census of Population, the RM of Wise Creek No. 77 recorded a population of 157, a -37.7% change from its 2006 population of 252. With a land area of 845.81 km2 (326.57 sq mi), it had a population density of 0.2/km2 (0.5/sq mi) in 2011.[9]

Government

The RM of Wise Creek No. 77 is governed by an elected municipal council and an appointed administrator that meets on the second Wednesday of every month.[3] The reeve of the RM is Denis Chenard while its administrator is Kathy Collins.[3] The RM's office is located in Shaunavon.[3]
